IFOPA | Jasmin’s FOP Journey

We first met Jasmin Floyd in 2017 when the effects of her disease were still relatively mild. She spoke of her love of travel and her fears about what FOP could take away from her in the future. FOP is a cruel disease that causes soft tissue to gradually become replace with bone. By 2020, Jasmin had lost the use of both her legs and was living in an acute care facility. Jasmin’s story helps highlight the importance of funding research to find treatments, and ultimately a cure, for FOP.
