EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Dana co-founded Trailhead Films in 2015 following a two decade long career as a news and documentary producer for CNN. She forged her skills as a compassionate and inspiring storyteller covering everything from breaking news, politics, education and healthcare to national tragedies such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Hurricane Katrina and the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. At Trailhead Films, she devotes her talents to producing award winning videos that help our nonprofit clients raise awareness and funds to support their critical, life-changing work. Trailhead Films videos have garnered multiple Telly Awards, the leading award honoring video and television across screens.
Dave Butz
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Dave is the creative force behind the camera and in the edit suite at Trailhead Films. Before co-founding the company, Dave was a Senior Editor and Videographer for CNN. His Emmy Award winning work appeared on CNN’s highest profile shows, and his field work included covering historic events such as the Shuttle Challenger explosion, the Sago Mine collapse, and Hurricane Katrina. His documentary work includes editing “Over Africa,” an independent film by award winning journalist Miles O’Brien.
Caitlin Eddolls
CONTRIBUTING PHOTOGRAPHER
Caitlin Eddolls is a photojournalist/photographer. Much of her work focuses on human resilience, subculture, and social issues. She has worked around the globe, photographing programs ranging from ‘Community Health and Social Services’ in Thailand, to guiding photography-focused/cultural immersion trips throughout Cuba. She also photographs for organizations and businesses, helping them tell their story. Throughout the pandemic, Caitlin has been documenting the efforts of communities to support each other and healthcare professionals during this crisis.
